If you make a ski tour, you will find untouched winter landscapes, unaffected powder slopes and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains in HerzBergLand.
A lot of forest, but a phenomenal view from the top
Difficulty: II
Season: autumn, winter
Overall duration: 3.5 hours
Characteristics:
Popular powder tour from the Eisenerzer Ramsau, often combined with the adjacent Kragelschinken. The Plöschkogel itself is a starting tour in deep winter that rewards you with an impressive scenic view of the skiing mountains of the Eisenerzer Alps. Ascent and descent are the same and lead through forest most of the time.
Tour description :
Starting at the parking space go in a southern direction to the Lasitzengraben (passing the hunting lodge Lasitzen) until you reach the end of the valley. Follow the forest road on the right hand side and take an abbreviation to the Zwiegraben hut and further along to Teicheneggalm. Continue in a western direction to the saddle and further on across open, rather flat slopes to the Plöschkogel.
Descent: from the summit in a northern or eastern direction back to Lasitzengraben.
Tip:
To take an alternative route to descend from Plöschkogel, you need to keep going in a northern direction to the Kaltenbachgraben. Using a crossingforest road leads back to Lasitzengraben.
