Skiing at the Präbichl mountain
The Präbichl is a family-friendly, modern skiing area in HerzBergLand which is located between 1,000-1,900 m above sea level. A beautiful place in styria for skiing.
Eisenerzer Reichenstein (2165 m)
A steep tour suitable for safe conditions in spring
Difficulty: III-IV
Season: spring
Overall duration: 4 hours
Characteristics:
The ascent in the northwestern steep slope to the Reichenstein hut requires safe conditions and experienced cross-country skiers. The skis have to be carried on the back for some time, maybe crampons are useful as well. The descent will be unforgettable for trained skiers and ski mountaineers.
Tour description:
Depart at the restaurant "Präbichler Hof" and ascend along the skiing slope. At the top station of the ”Grübl“ chair lift go in a southwestern direction to the Rösselhals (markings), then continue in a southern direction across the Theklasteig or respectively the stairs to the steep slope underneath the Reichenstein hut. Take the northwestern slope or ascend at the edge of the slope to the Reichenstein hut and further to the summit of the Eisenerzer Reichenstein.
Descend as described above.
