Traboch has about 1,300 inhabitants and consists of the settlements Traboch, Madstein, Stadlhof and Timmersdorf. The small community is located 622 m above sea level and has turned into one of the most attractive economic locations in Styria over the past few years. Furthermore Traboch, and especially the leisure activity center at Trabocher lake, offers lots of possibilities for people seeking peace and quiet, as well as for sports and nature fans: people can go fishing, pedal boat driving, can play minigolf, explore the large children’s playground or just take a walk around the lake. In winter the lake is cleaned from the snow and turn into a magnificent ice skating paradise for the whole family. Those who would like to get an impression of the HerzBergLand from the sky are invited to visit the airfield of Timmersdorf.

Go Fishing, ice skating, alpine curling, play minigolf, explore the large children’s playground, go pedal boat driving, inline skating, running, hiking or play tennis – anything is possible at the leisure activity center at the lake.
Thanks to an outstanding fish existence the lake is highly appreciated by fishermen. Once a month night fishing takes place.
The airfield Timmersdorf, located between St. Michael and Mautern at the foot of the Reiting massif, is well known amongst pilots from all over the world as an excellent point of departure for extensive overland gliding. Test flights over the upper styrian mountains allow beginners to experience the unlimited freedom of flying and at the alpine – sports flyers – club the secrets of gliding are learned from the beginning.
